Your Library App is Here 1000 Books B4K is back Studies have shown that families who start reading aloud to their children from birth help to strengthen their language skills and build their vocabulary – -two important tools for beginning to learn to rad when they enter kindergarten. Bookmarks to log each time you read a book to your little one are now available at the library. For every 100 books read, you child will get a treat and a sticker. When they reach 1000 books, we’ll feature them in the Edwards County Sentinel and give them a hardback book for a prize. Click here for more information. Five years ago when the library was closed during Covid, the library staff constructed, painted and installed the StoryWalk in South Partk. On Saturday or Sunday,, vandals destroyed six of the frames. If anyone saw who was responsible., please let the library or the police know. Replacing them involves considerable time and expense. We already have the summer reading companion books laminated and ready to display.
